Job Description Summary:

The Packaging Technologies Manager will be a key member of the Packaging Engineering and Technology Center (PETC). This role owns the equipment schedule and make sure the daily pilot plant operations are on track according to the supporting scheduling, quality, and maintenance. Leads safety initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and acts as a subject matter expert to drive innovation. Manages key projects and develops training materials to support capability development and knowledge sharing.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and Blow Molding Technologies at the PETC.

What You’ll Do for Us

Process Optimization:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize Injection and Blow Molding processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of current processes and equipment, identifying areas for improvement.

Quality Assurance:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to molding defects, ensuring products meet all regulatory and company standards.

New Technology Development:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Injection and Blow Molding technologies by collaborating with the others SME & Packaging Industry
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies to integrate new technologies into existing production lines.
  • Research and bring forward new technologies to feed the pipeline in blow molding and injection space

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
  • Lead Project meetings with stake holders

Training and Development:

  • Develop training materials and programs for production personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of molding equipment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, experiments, and results.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and updates to senior management.
  • Present new technologies findings & research results to stakeholders and global packaging network
  • Develop KPI Operations for Process Floor performance review & prepare weekly equipment performance report.

Safety Culture:

  • Owns Safety in the Process floor and work closely with TCCC Safety leads
  • Make sure Safety documentation is up to date for ALL process floor equipment’s
  • Implement 5S methodology in specific process area and monitor other areas
  • Champion safety protocols and practices for ALL process floor equipment’s
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Ensure that all team members are trained and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Report and investigate any safety incidents and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintenance & Compliance:

  • Ensure production equipment is in good working order and develop and implement all maintenance programs for the pilot plant with the OEM Technical Service Team.
  • Ensure all processes and equipment comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in packaging, mechanical or chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Injection and Blow Molding processes within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or a similar field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Injection and Blow Molding machinery, mold design, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.

Pay Range:

$109,000 - $129,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
