The King County Department of Community and Human Services Housing and Community Development Division (HCD) plays a central role in addressing homelessness throughout the region with stakeholder partners, including prevention, responding to homelessness, and developing and maintaining housing stability.
The Project/Program Manager IV will provide leadership for housing system integration particularly with behavioral health and criminal legal systems, partnering closely with the Diversion and Reentry Services section within the Behavioral Health and Recovery Division, the Health Through Housing section within HCD, King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA’s) Coordinated Entry System (CES), other funders, and providers to implement funding for permanent supportive housing projects for people who are identified as Trueblood Class Members as a result of the Trueblood et al vs. State of WA DSHS class action lawsuit and subsequent Contempt Settlement. Trueblood Class Members are a population of individuals with serious mental health and substance use conditions engaged with legal competency services and the state forensic mental health system. Candidates will need to have an understanding of these systems.
This work will include improving referral pathways, linking contracted housing providers to services and resources across systems, and supporting care coordination for Class Members to increase access to housing and improve housing stability. This position will work closely with the BHRD Systems Integration Coordinator for Trueblood Phase V.
The paramount goal of this program is to support Trueblood Class Members with housing and services in order to divert them from incarceration and/or hospitalization. The position will report to the Manager of the Housing Stability & Services Section within the Housing & Community Development Division and will include a blend of projects beyond the area of primary focus that integrate housing with systems including veterans, foster youth, and family unification.

TELEWORKING REQUIREMENT: The work associated with this position will be performed or conducted through a combination of teleworking, on-site work, and meetings. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. To respond to workplace reporting requirements, employees must reside in Washington state and be within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite.
