Job Summary:
Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, invites applications for Affiliate Faculty in the Systems Engineering specialization to begin in the Fall of 2025. Qualified candidates will have at least a master’s degree in software engineering and developer operations or a closely related field from an HLC-accredited university or college and will show potential for excellent teaching skills at the graduate level, especially with an understanding of both in-person/ on-prem and online asynchronous course delivery.
Applicants should have a minimum of five years of current experience working in a Developer Operations (DevOps) related field, and successful candidates will be expected to maintain their current Dev Ops practice in order to maintain their currency in the discipline while instructing. Applicants with education, knowledge and/or experience in the areas of software engineering, Dev Ops concepts, advancing to dev ops basics, CI/CD, and integration of software engineering and dev ops culture are preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as an affiliate instructor supporting a portfolio of 16 graduate level eight-week courses. In-person/ on-prem courses are taught at Regis University’s North Denver Main Campus, primarily in the evenings. The MSSE portfolio includes graduate topics such as software engineering as it relates to Developer Operations (DevOps), DevOps concepts, advancing to dev ops basics, CI/CD, and integration of software engineering and dev ops culture.
Facilitate highly engaging lectures, discussions, video interactions, and case studies using materials and syllabi provided as well as developing original, relevant assignments and content.
Participate fully using provided best practices in course discussions and group activities that meet course objectives.
Grade student assignments and posts and provide detailed, student-specific feedback and guidance. Return work in a reasonable time after it is submitted.
Publish and schedule office hours for students on an appointment basis.
Populate the learning management course delivery shell with updated syllabus, assignment due dates, gradebook and other materials as required before the course begins.
Work closely with the department chair or program director to ensure Regis policies and expectations are met.

These positions are benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
