Staff Engineer, Design Verification

For Ultra Precision Signal Chain Group (UTP)

Summary

The Staff Design Verification Engineer will support the New Product development efforts across the Precision Signal Chain group using UVM (in SystemVerilog) and directed/software driven test environments, and will collaborate with analog design engineers, software engineers and with test engineers.

  • Leading verification engineers in the project
  • Liaison of verification team with different engineering disciplines for extracting verification requirements
  • Block / top level verification ownership – e.g. responsible for top-level/system-level TB architecture
  • Composition, tracking and review of Verification Plans
  • Develop successful products in a fast-paced, high growth product line
  • Support test engineers, application engineers and software engineers
  • Mentoring and partial coordination of activities of P3 and more junior engineers
  • Metric-Driven Verification ownership (Regression maintenance and Coverage closure)
  • Integrating AMS and DMS activities

Key Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in IC design, especially digital design
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Understanding of digital signal processing
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • High collaborative skills to work cohesively with other engineering disciplines
  • Proficiency in UVM
  • Proficiency in regression management system
  • Fluent in any of the major text editors in use (Emacs, *Vim, VSCode, Nedit, Jedit, …)
  • Proficient in writing assertions in SVA or equivalent

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in EE with 6 years’ experience or bachelor’s degree with typically 10 years’ experience

Additional Requirements

Strong communicator. Able to work independently and effectively collaborate with a cross-functional and global team.
