Senior Engineers, Product Applications

Summary

The Senior Product Applications Engineer under the New Product Development Team will be responsible for the applications evaluation, applications board development, and go-to-market collaterals of various power products for broad market customers. He/she will also be responsible for the creation of product datasheets, reference designs, and technical articles. He/she will be working closely with the product development team, field applications and customers to conceptualize and develop state-of-the-art circuit designs.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in electronics and circuit analysis, especially on different power supply topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost, sepic, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with systematic approach in solving complex problems
  • Knowledge in handling and using wide range of bench equipment is preferrable (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, multimeters, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for PCB development is an advantage (e.g., Cadence Allegro, PADS or any other equivalent PCB design tool)
  • Familiarity with circuit simulator tools is preferrable (such as LTSpice, Simplis/Simetrix, MATLAB, Simulink)
  • Knowledge in the following programing language is an advantage (LabVIEW, C, C++, Python etc.)

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of BS in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, MS degree is an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience working in IC development is preferred
  • Industry experience with Power Electronics is an advantage

Additional Requirements

  • Good knowledge on Product Development process
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in leading teams/projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
