Position Title: Transportation PartsManager
Division: Operations/Transportation
Reports To: Shop Foreman
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Schedule: M3 or M4
Work Days: 244
Essential Duties:
- Order parts, tools, and equipment for shop use.
- Maintain requisitions and Purchase Orders for all shop budget lines.
- Ensure proper inventory controls are in place and followed.
- Determine best sources for parts and supplies based on price, quality, and availability.
- Ensure safe storage and handling of all parts and supplies including hazardous materials.
- Maintain all storage areas in an organized, clean, and safe condition.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required.
- Must hold a valid Georgia Class B Commercial Driver’s License, with passenger (P), school bus (S), and air brake endorsements, required.
- Must pass annual physical.
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
- Must perform routine and frequent physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds infrequently.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
