Are you ready to take the next step in your ASML journey? As an Optical Engineer – Source Laser, you’ll be at the forefront of advancing our High Power Seed Module (HPSM) technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your optics expertise, collaborate across departments, and directly influence the performance of our Drive Laser systems.
Role and responsibilities
- You will lead technical optics topics and collaborate across disciplines to meet key roadmap milestones. Your responsibilities include:
- Drive optical design, modeling, and validation for the High Power Seed Module (HPSM).
- Own functional deliverables that improve Drive Laser performance and availability.
- Perform ray tracing and optical system design using Zemax.
- Support integration and troubleshooting of the Source Laser system.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and suppliers to resolve issues and align on technical direction.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement structural solutions for complex optical issues.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
Education and experience
- Master’s degree or PhD in physics, optics, opto-mechatronics or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in optical modeling and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Zemax and MATLAB; Python and SSA/Azure cloud experience is a plus.
- Background in high-power laser optics, UV optics, or plasma physics is preferred.
