Job Description

The power systems electrical engineer is a bit of a generalist position. The ideal candidate will have past experience doing their own ARC flash studies, performing load flow studies and doing design work as it pertains to single line diagrams and general electrical specs for equipment such as circuit breakers, switch gears and transformers.

Essential Skills

• Electrical Engineering Degree
• 2+ years experience with an Electrical EIT designation
• Studies experience using ETAP or SKM (interchangeable)
• Needs to know how to do ARC Flash studies
• Short Circuit studies experience
• Must be able to do single line diagrams

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience creating schematics: switch gears, circuit breakers
• Light industrial or commercial HV electrical Equipment
• Past experience working with circuit breakers; switch gears
• Experience using software's such as ETAP, SKM, CDEGS (grounding)

Studies experience in Order of Priority:

• Arc flash High Priority
• Short circuit / load flow High Priority
• Ground analysis Low Priority
• Ac interference (for t-lines, pipelines and railways) Low Priority
• Power factor Med Priority
• Harmonic analysis Low Priority
• Transient voltage Low. Priority
• Lighting analysis Low Priority
• Lightning analysis Low Priority

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
