The Opportunity

As a People Services Assistant within our centralised People Services Team, you will play a key role in supporting administrative processes as well as onboarding for employees across UKIMEA. This includes managing onboarding processes, checking right-to-work documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition for all new starters.

Based in our Newcastle office, you’ll benefit from a hybrid working model, with a minimum of two days per week in the office (Tuesday and a day of your choice.)

You will be part of the team that are the first point of contact for onboarding-related queries, providing operational and administrative support to employees, Managers, and Leaders. Your focus will be on delivering a seamless and compliant onboarding experience, while supporting broader HR processes.

This role requires strong administrative capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience in People Services administration, including onboarding.
  • Are confident managing tasks such as offer letters, references, data input, and background checks.
  • Are familiar with HR systems, in particular Oracle.
  • Can you maintain accurate records.
  • Are you process-driven and eager to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding for new hires, from offer documentation to system setup, for both experienced hires and the annual early careers cohort.
  • Ensure background checks are completed.
  • Conduct right to work checks and ensure compliance with legal and internal standards.
  • Support internal transfers.
  • Liaise with Talent Acquisition and other internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding journey.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilise automation tools to streamline processes.
  • HR Administration, reporting and data input.
