Department Overview

The Treasury Department is responsible for the Firm’s overall cash management, allocation of investment opportunities and maintenance of third-party debt facilities. Primary functions within Treasury include short and long-term cash forecasting, foreign currency exchange (“FX”) management, pre-trade compliance, asset allocations, cash positioning, liquidity optimization and debt compliance. The Treasury Department collaborates closely with many internal and external partners to ensure the Firm’s financing goals are met. These partners include senior management, Corporate Development, Structured Products, Solutions, Capital Markets, Middle Market Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit and Broadly Syndicated Loan Origination Teams, Accounting, Operations, Tax, Technology Solutions and Investor Communications. External partners include bank group partners, trustees, accounting firms, tax counsel, administrators and rating agencies.

Position Responsibilities

The Analyst will serve as the primary FX contact and offer specialized knowledge to the Treasury and Operations Teams.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

− Reviewing existing FX hedges and third-party FX advances to determine optimal hedging strategies

− Monitoring portfolios daily and recommending FX and interest rate hedging activity

− Providing trade recommendations in accordance with hedging strategies

− Supporting the team with maintaining and updating source systems to reflect outstanding FX hedges and interest rate derivatives

− Monitoring market interest rates and assessing the impact on existing swap agreements

− Partnering with the Treasury Cash Management Team to optimally utilize third party FX advances and optimize spot conversions

− Assisting in managing daily FX rates and margining requirements; assisting in validating margin calls and tracking collateral against thresholds

− Performing monthly portfolio reconciliation and data validations

− Developing new and enhancing existing hedge reporting and analytics with the Technology Solutions Team

− Providing reporting on FX positions and hedges to the CFO and senior members of the Treasury Team

− Participating in hedging strategy, pipeline discussions and market analysis with the Structured Products Team

− Developing and monitoring hedge efficiency and efficacy metrics in collaboration with Fund Accounting Team

− Ensuring compliance with all relevant Treasury policies, procedures and controls and update as necessary

− Providing analytical support for cash flow forecasting, as needed

− Staying updated on global macroeconomic trends, central bank policies and geopolitical factors that impact currency and financial markets

− Participating in special projects as required

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

− Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related financial discipline

− 2 – 3 years of work experience in corporate finance, public accounting or management consulting; strong background in FX; familiarity with derivatives and debt agreements is a plus

− Exceptional Excel modeling and analysis skills required

− Bloomberg, SharePoint and Power BI experience is a plus

− Ability to independently drive projects to completion while also functioning effectively in a team environment

− Strong attention to detail

− Flexibility around responsibilities and working hours, as required

  • Pre-Trade and Debt Compliance: Ensures pre-trade and debt compliance across the Firm’s investments. Leverages knowledge of the regulatory environment, governing documents and internal policies, including current and proposed laws, regulations and guidance to ensure compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

For Illinois Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $72,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
