A Day in the Life

As Senior Engineer Modeling and Simulation, you will play a key role designing and developing state-of-the-art robotic systems that will have a global reach. This position is based out of the Laim district in Munich, Germany office, and offers the option to work 2 days per week from home office. Some domestic and international travel may be required as necessary although this would be less than 10% of the time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop computational models of robotic assemblies
  • Assess model credibility, drive model improvement and validation
  • Analyze performance, reliability and safety of robotic assisted surgery systems
  • Define, operate and evaluate prototypes
  • Enhance and maintain a suite of simulation and data analysis tools
  • Collaborate with internal customers determine customer needs and define model use cases
  • Contribute to design decisions, requirements breakdown, testing and manufacturing strategy

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in analyzing designs and creating models with Simulation Software, like Matlab, Simulink, Ansys, LS-Dyna, Python
  • Experience in multibody dynamics and/or structural analysis
  • Professional written and spoken working proficiency with English, German language skills are beneficial
