The Associate Market Development Manager will support new and future imaging systems, including O-arm, in the international market. It will primarily work downstream to support the regions on product launch planning and execution, coordination of sales forecasting, competitive and economic analysis, budget planning, and prioritization with the commercial organizations to achieve business results. Secondarily, your focus will be to support the upstream teams in new product development and business partnerships, working across several functions to launch and commercialize new products and markets in international geographies and bridge upstream and regional commercial organizations.

The position is also responsible for bringing visibility to leadership regarding market and product challenges and exploring new opportunities in high-growth areas. Additionally, this role provides direction and guidance to International Business and Marketing Managers for existing programs, products, and strategies.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordination with regulatory, quality, and operations for launches in international countries, setting up the prioritization for regulatory work and launch cadence.
  • Responsible for the imaging capital forecast internationally.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by identifying opportunities, needs, and investments to increase the commercial success of our imaging portfolio.
  • Be the first point of contact for imaging escalations from the international regions.
  • Ensure the availability of expert-level knowledge of the use of products.
  • Ensure direct downstream engagement by supporting customer interactions and the sales pipeline.
  • Be an advocate for the international market at the operating unit level.
  • Review and monitor planning and execution of launches to ensure adequate levels of support and regional performance.
  • Best practice sharing for the implementation of sales and utilization strategies.
  • Monitor activities from the competition and handling of competitive claims.
  • Drive the design and produce marketing collateral.
  • Support development of value proposition messaging and fulfill communication requirements of International Markets.
  • Drive the development and delivery of sales training and product knowledge transfer for international sales reps, including developing new sales tools and training programs.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Training and Education team to prepare training content.
  • Be the advocate for international market development at the business unit level understanding the market trends and size, customer segmentation, competing systems and companies, and potentially new competing technologies.
  • Be recognized as an expert in international market regions and products by being knowledgeable of assigned products, medical and surgical procedures, decision-makers, clinical needs, and market opportunities, maintaining awareness of U.S.-centric vs. international product preferences.
  • Ability to travel 25% in International Markets

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of the orthopedic business
  • Multiple languages relevant to international customers an advantage
  • Strong in product management or market development
  • Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and execute projects and the launch of products into the market
  • Strong analytical skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$72,000.00 - $108,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
