Role Summary:

The Associate Director of Business Intelligence & AI Solutions will spearhead the creation and implementation of AI-driven business intelligence solutions, focusing on the business area of Global Product Development & Supply (GPS). This hands-on role focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize metrics automation, insights generation, scorecard and dashboard visualization, and tool standardization. The position will ensure cohesive delivery of insights to stakeholders through cutting-edge visualization techniques and robust data analysis, with an emphasis on user experience and interface design.

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

Strategic Development and Implementation

  • Develop Gen AI / Machine Learning solutions to streamline data analysis and rapid insight generation
  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of AI-enhanced business performance management solutions.
  • Transform the use of metrics, scorecards, and dashboards by employing AI tools to effectively deliver and display the most relevant insights.
  • Ensure standardization and consistency across all dashboard and visualization ecosystems, with AI integration as a focal point.
  • Develop and update standards and best practices for visualizing AI-enhanced data solutions using platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, Dash, Streamlit, React and others

Building Collaborative Partnerships

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and develop effective BI solutions.
  • Establish strong working relationships with teams across GPS and its enabling functions
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure AI-driven solutions are understood and utilized for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with other AI teams to integrate their solutions into our own, improving user experience and solution

Enhancing Analytics Capabilities and Team Development

  • Proactively identify new opportunities to further leverage AI-driven data and visualization solutions – prioritizing opportunities with the biggest potential benefit to the business
  • Communicate value of AI-enhanced solutions and insights back to stakeholders and internally within BIT
  • Drive best practice adoption in analytics, standardization, and AI application
  • Ensure best practice adoption within stated areas of responsibility, applying appropriate levels of technical capability, standardization and subject matter expertise
  • Proactively manage planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring appropriate prioritization, consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders
  • Leverage standards for the provision of analytics to support planning and decision making processes, and utilizes appropriate escalation processes

Qualifications:

  • BS / MS in engineering, computer science, data analytics or other quantitative area of study
  • Travel to New Brunswick, NJ location approximately once monthly
  • 5+ years of hands-on working experience in analytics, data science, machine learning and reporting preferred
  • Proven experience as a project leader skilled in adapting analytics solutions to business contexts.
  • Expertise in developing performance management frameworks and architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in applied analytics for business problem-solving and visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders to fulfill their AI-driven insights and analytics needs.
  • Operating successfully in a matrix organization environment
  • Communicates effectively to audiences of varying degrees of familiarity with analytics
  • Conceptualizes business problems and develops frameworks around analytical methods for teams
  • Familiarity with full stack of reporting and analytics platforms:
    • Analytics platforms/tools: familiarity with AI tools and technologies
    • Programming: SQL, Python (AI and machine learning focus preferred)
    • Visualization: Proven experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
    • Database architecture: familiar with Oracle, AWS (Redshift and S3).
  • Pharma and/or GPS experience a plus, but not required

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $167,540 -$203,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.

Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
