You will be tasked with two main areas concerning email marketing: deliverability and governance. Focus will involve monitoring email systems and performance to understand what is working, and what isn't, then driving improvements and change back across teams to necessary partners and the broader marketing organization.

Concerning email deliverability, you will focus your efforts on bridging the gap between technology and strategy working with email strategists, email operations and other marketing teams. This will be done while also monitoring the health of systems at both a domain and an IP address level and understanding the functional requirements to avoid reputational pitfalls.

The goal for our governance project is to bring together our siloed email communication processes to improve branding, cadence, performance, and data management – creating a simpler, clearer experience for our customers. Just as Avalara's services take the complexity out of compliance, we're on a mission to take complexity out of the communication experience. The customer is our north star as we evaluate email platforms and processes, aiming to guide business efficiency and protect future revenue.

You will be based in Brazil and report into the Sr Manager of Lifecycle Customer Marketing.

Quais serão as suas responsabilidades

  • You will work with the marketing automation team, AvaTech, Revenue Operations, IT, Product, Security and other partners to support overall email governance for Avarala's email database of customers, partners, and prospects
  • Every day you will work with product teams to ensure embedded email solutions are compliant with best practices
  • You will design and implement AI opportunities within the email marketing systems auto-response systems
  • Working with other Avalara teams, plan for deprecation and migration of older and excessive email platforms.

O que precisa possuir para ser bem sucedido

  • You are good at breaking down silos and managing timelines to accomplish goals, including working with product teams, technology groups and partners.
  • 5+ years experience with major email platforms Marketo, Sengrid, Mandrill, Outreach, Salesforce is needed
  • You have mail security basics such as DMARC, SPF and DKIM.
  • You have knowledge of major email providers' spam policies and best practices to manage them.
  • You have 3+ years experience with transactional / marketing email legal definitions, and global compliance like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, LGPD, CASL, etc.
  • Experience translating complexity into simplicity
  • 7+ years experience in B2B SaaS email marketing experience is required.
  • To be considered you must be fluent speaking, writing, and reading in American English.
