This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are currently seeking a kind, patient, and energetic respite provider for a very sweet little boy who thrives outdoors and in a 1:1 environment. This young man is on the Autism spectrum with Physical Demand Avoidance (PDA) (no experience required, just openness to learn, and understand he is not intentionally "rebelling", it is his bodies response). He has done beautifully with respite in the past and we would love to find him a new great fit!

Pay: $17.66/hour (after tax rate)

Location: Child resides in Rice Lake, WI - Care location TBD between family & provider

Schedule:15 hours/week available - flexible schedule (preferred afternoon/early evening & weekends)

Things He Enjoys:

• LOVES being outside (Go to the park and swing, swim, GO FISHING, etc.)
• Baking & cooking together (He has a small set)
• Coloring, crafts & science projects
• Listen to music (Jelly Roll is a current favorite)
• Likes the movie Twister (the old one) & Sonic

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster an open and communicative relationship to build trust and help him feel comfortable.
• Help him stay busy and engaged with activities to maintain an active lifestyle

Ideal Candidate:

• A kind, patient, and energetic individual who can offer a safe and fun environment
• Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is willing to be active and engaged in various physical tasks.
• Open to regular communication with the family and adaptable to a changing schedule.
• Experience with Autism (ASD) & Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is helpful but not required

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing to undergo a caregiver background check upon hire
