PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To develop, maintain, test, and debug software in a Windows client/server environment using integrated development environments like Visual Studio/Code, Eclipse etc or similar technologies. This role involves defining system scope and objectives through research and analysis, preparing detailed specifications, and designing, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining software programs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Gain deep familiarity with key application modules, including reports, parameters, claims management, intake services, and interfaces.
- Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications to meet those needs.
- Develop and modify software based on data processing requests.
- Ensure compliance with insurance carrier and regulatory requirements through software development.
- Test and debug assigned projects; assist in testing projects developed by other team members.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for new and existing software.
- Investigate and resolve escalated support issues, including data and software corrections.
- Mentor and support the professional development of junior programmers.
- Stays current with advancements in programming languages, frameworks, and emerging software development technologies.
- Follow departmental standards and guidelines for software design and development.
- Deliver and maintain high-quality customer service.
- Stay current with advancements in software development languages and technologies.
- Be a team player and will need to be proactive at problem solving
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of software development and application design.
- Experience with Deltek Vision / VantagePoint products highly desirable
- Proficiency in:
- .NET Core
- C#
- SQL Server
- PL/SQL
- AngularJS / ReactJS
- Microservices architecture
- Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Kubernetes/Containers
- Familiarity with:
- Power Automate and Power BI (a plus)
- Jira
- Scrum and Agile development methodologies
- DevOps practices
- Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- Vision/vantagePoitn to Skills/knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Preferred major: Information Systems or Computer Science.
