THE JOB:

The Executive Director of Finance Operations reports to and partners with the CFO to set financial policy and direction for the property. This role is a key driver of the organization's overall strategy, ensuring alignment with MGM’s business objectives. The position oversees all departmental activities to ensure compliance with budget guidelines, safety standards, and company policies, while actively contributing to strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all finance operations are conducted in full compliance with gaming regulatory requirements, including those set by jurisdictional gaming and lottery commissions, as well as applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Oversee property-wide adherence to legal standards, company policies, and internal controls, including GAAP, SOX, and internal audit compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to maintain financial integrity, identify operational vulnerabilities, and manage liability exposure and related financial expenditures.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company’s mission and vision, supporting both short- and long-term business goals.
• Act as a financial and operational advisor to the Property President and operational division leaders to guide the financial performance and overall success of the property.
• Lead and participate in identifying and cultivating new business partnerships and opportunities that support long-term property growth.
• Collaborate closely with department heads to implement sound business practices, ensure timely and on-budget project execution, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Provide executive leadership for the entire Finance Division, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Casino Finance, Cage/Credit/Collections/Markers, Count Team, Cashiering, Workforce Management, Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory Control, Compliance, and Internal Controls & Fraud Detection.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies, services, and process improvements to maintain MGM Resorts’ competitive edge in the evolving gaming and hospitality landscape.
• Monitor market trends and customer behavior to proactively adjust strategies in response to industry dynamics.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• They bring a minimum of four years of relevant finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a resort or hospitality setting.
• This candidate demonstrates strong business acumen, with a proven ability to manage core financial functions such as accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• They possess a deep understanding of compliance within a regulated gaming environment and are skilled in aligning finance operations with strategic business objectives.
• A track record of successful collaboration with operational leaders and a commitment to financial integrity and operational excellence is essential.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is:

$154,700.00 - $257,900.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s equity plan.
