Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Technician, where you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, resolving production issues, and ensuring high-quality assembly of electronic devices. You will work from detailed instructions and adhere to strict quality assurance guidelines, contributing to our commitment to superior manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual soldering (rework) and assembly of enclosures according to precise product specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of production processes and outcomes, reporting outcomes to supervisors.
  • Assemble and test electrical devices, adhering to production test protocols.
  • Operate Selective and Wave Soldering Machines.
  • Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electronics, schematic interpretation, soldering, mechanical assembly, and wiring.
  • Experience with blueprint reading, electrical and electronics testing, and circuit board assembly.
  • Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards.
  • Working knowledge of ESD standards.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.
  • Requires 3 years of technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Motivated individuals with good attendance, attitude, and work ethic.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled facility with a shift from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm. Enjoy a supportive and structured work environment, ensuring comfort and consistency in your daily tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
