Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned embedded software engineer to lead full lifecycle development for water heating and HVAC control systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design and implement embedded software in C/C++, and support both new product development and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop real-time, multi-threaded embedded software using C/C++ and FreeRTOS.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and manufacturing teams to integrate and validate software in production environments.
  • Lead software architecture efforts and contribute to control logic, state machines, and communication protocols such as UART and I2C.
  • Support connectivity features including Wi-Fi, NFC, and other IoT technologies.
  • Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot automation scripts, and support field and manufacturing tools.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Expertise in C/C++, real-time systems, and driver development.
  • Strong knowledge of connectivity protocols and secure embedded systems.
  • Experience with bootloaders, version control systems like GitHub, and hardware debugging tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Work Environment

The position requires daily onsite presence. You will be working with one of the leaders in HVAC units, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
