We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer for Black Utility (m/f/d) for our Biopharma & Life Science sector.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop utility systems for industrial plants, including heating, cooling, steam, sanitary and fire protection (sprinkler) systems, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards
  • Prepare material take-off (mto) and design documentation, including feasibility study, concept, basic and detail design
  • Participate in design progress and coordination meetings
  • Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to ensure technical specifications and project goals are met
  • Oversee external planning partners and manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, including negotiations with suppliers
  • Supervise the construction phase to ensure all systems are implemented as designed

Show your expertises

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, in the field of building services, power generation engineering or thermomechanical engineering or similar
  • Several years of experience in the design and construction of complex plant utility systems, preferably in projects within pharmaceutical and life science sector
  • Up-to-date relevant knowledge of industry best practice (cGMP) and black utilities in pharma (chilled water, hot water, industrial steam, compressed air, drains)
  • Very good knowledge of Italian and English
  • Proficient in cad and ms office, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work within multidisciplinary teams
