Position Summary

As part of Marriott International’s Hotel Development team in EMEA, the Intern, Hotel Development will support the early stages of the hotel development process and contribute to various strategic initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market analysis, project evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration within a global hospitality leader.

Scope

• Location: London
• Language Requirements: Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis

• Extract, prepare, and analyze EMEA-wide market data using tools such as STR, Salesforce, and Tableau
• Present analytical findings in a clear and concise manner for senior management decision-making

Project Support

• Assist in screening new project leads to assess brand fit
• Support the preparation of marketing and presentation materials for development opportunities
• Contribute to deal-related activities and special projects as needed

Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate information exchange
• Work independently or as part of a team on multiple concurrent projects
• Support internal and external processes, helping to resolve challenges as they arise

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Business, Real Estate, or a related field
• Previous internship or academic experience in hospitality, real estate, or data analysis is a plus

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and research skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; creativity in presentation design encouraged
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Understanding of hotel P&L statements or cash flow analysis is a plus
