Achievers is looking to hire a Global Payroll and Benefits Associate to join our A-mazing Payroll and Benefits Team! This individual will be responsible for assisting the team with running smooth end to end payroll and benefit schemes globally for Achievers. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll and Benefits, this individual will be a collaborative, team player and help us process compensation programs for our A-players all over the world!

What you'll do:

  • Payroll Operations:
  • Preparation and submission of Canadian bi-weekly and Colombian monthly payroll runs.
  • Serve as primary back up for preparation and submission of all other global payroll runs.
  • Backup for recurring fillings that are not done by payroll providers (AUS Victoria Tax, AUS SA Tax, AUS Quicksuper, AUS WC true up, US WA WC, UK HMRC Files submission, etc.).
  • Year-end activities including reconciliations, submissions, and distribution of employee tax forms globally.
  • Communicate with government bodies and third parties globally as required, including new registrations.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes related to payroll and benefits globally.
  • Coordinate system parameter changes and support system updates as needed.
  • Respond to questions and provide information to employees, managers, support staff and departments on all payroll and benefits matters.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Analysis and Reconciliations:
  • Prepare and reconcile JE for payroll and benefit cost allocations.
  • Assist with year-end financial audit and any other third - party audits.
  • Support various payroll/benefits analysis and reconciliations including census data.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Lead role for benefits administration for Canada and Colombia including benefit invoices reconciliations.
  • Act as the main backup for benefits administration in all other countries.
  • Administer and maintain compliance for pension programs in Canada (RRSP).
  • Provide backup support for US 401K, Australia Superfund and UK pension programs.
  • Support with benefits education strategies.
  • Collaborate with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and run campaigns to promote benefits offerings to employees.

What we're looking for:

  • Certification:
  • PCP certification (mandatory).
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience for Canada & US.
  • Experience in global payroll (an asset).
  • 2+ years of benefits administration experience in a global setting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience with ADP WFN and Ceridian Dayforce (mandatory).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Other skills:
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in data analysis and auditing procedures (preferred).
  • Aptitude to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrates initiative to solve business problems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
