Job Description:

Associate Wet Utilities Engineer

Qatar, Doha

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform a variety of engineering tasks using basic techniques and analyses within a specific discipline, focusing on utility corridor design, utility master planning, cross-section development, technical note preparation, and coordination of existing and new infrastructure.
  • Apply basic engineering principles to wet utilities networks, including surface water, foul sewer, potable water, and treated sewage effluent (TSE).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge—or a willingness to learn—industry-standard digital design tools such as SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro etc.
  • Assist in completing engineering and design assignments
  • Carry out fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and basic designs.
  • Provide support to CAD designers/drafters and contribute to project documentation as required.
  • Develop engineering design models in Civil 3D or similar design software.
  • Ensure awareness of Qatar utility authority regulations such as MM, PWA, KME, KMW, QAF, Ooredoo, Q-Rail, and other relevant authorities in the Gulf region.
  • Collaborate as a proactive and efficient team member to meet project milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, on technical and non-technical matters.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • Familiarity with CAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and other tools commonly used in engineering design and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles, techniques, and analyses.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply specifications and standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in engineering principles, sustainability practices, and industry networking.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience or coursework related to Potable Water/TSE or Foul sewage systems and infrastructure design.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of sustainability practices in engineering.
  • Ability to contribute to cost estimates and understand scheduling and planning requirements.
