What's the opportunity?

Reporting to the VP, Talent Data Management & Analytics, the Senior Director, AI Strategy, Advanced Insights and Enablement will lead the strategic deployment of AI across the global HR-BMCC function, partner closely with HR and BMCC leaders, to transform talent management, workforce planning, operational efficiency, culture, and employee experience. The leader will ensure AI is implemented responsibly, at scale, and in alignment with business, regulatory, and risk frameworks.

Your responsibilities include:

AI Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Consolidate and develop a multi-year AI strategy holistically that align to overall HR-BMCC strategic priorities
  • Identify and consolidate AI opportunities and set priority in collaboration with HR-BMCC Centers of Excellence (CoEs), Talent Services, and HRBPs.
  • Work closely with HR-BMCC leadership to incorporate and align AI activities both new and in-flight
  • Partner with the key leaders across the enterprise to drive alignment of AI imperatives with enterprise and regulatory strategies and requirements.

Solution Innovation & Scaling:

  • Lead a talented group of AI and Data Science experts and partner closely with enterprise resources and capabilities to drive maximum reusability and scale
  • Drive the evaluation, piloting, and scaled deployment of AI solutions (e.g., NLP-powered recruiting tools, generative AI for employee self-service).

Governance & Responsible AI:

  • Partner with the head of HR Governance to design and enforce HR-specific AI governance protocols aligned with enterprise data ethics and compliance standards (e.g., EEOC, GDPR, AI Act).
  • Ensure AI use in HR-BMCC is auditable, explainable, and bias-mitigated.

Risk, Compliance & Regulation:

  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to proactively manage evolving global AI regulations in employment contexts.
  • Represent / co-represent HR-BMCC in regulatory discussions and internal model risk committees (eg. AIRC).

Talent & Culture Development:

  • Lead AI upskilling efforts within HR-BMCC and promote AI literacy across the enterprise workforce, partnering with learning and performance and employee experience COEs.
  • Influence a culture of responsible innovation, change readiness, and continuous learning.

Value Realization & Analytics:

  • Define and track performance indicators (e.g., efficiency, predictive accuracy, employee satisfaction).
  • Build business cases demonstrating measurable value from AI implementations.

You're our ideal candidate if you have:

  • 10–15+ years in Data and AI technology, transformation, or digital strategy within a large global organization (preferably in financial services, banking, or insurance).
  • 5+ years of direct experience with AI/ML, advanced analytics, or intelligent automation, including working knowledge of technologies like generative AI, natural language processing, or predictive modeling.\
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional AI implementations in HR or people analytics, from concept through to enterprise scaling.
  • Deep understanding of global HR processes (e.g., talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning) and how AI can ethically augment them.
  • Proven experience working with legal, risk, and compliance teams in highly regulated environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially at senior leadership levels
  • Strong command of AI ethics, data privacy, and emerging employment legislation related to automation and algorithmic decision-making.
