Lead mechanical design engineer is responsible for design and simulation of mechanical components. Candidate should have a broad understanding of the components design for mechanical strength or heat transfer or flow. Lead engineer should closely work with other engineers, review the technical deliverables, mentor, and coach junior engineers, provide oversight on the quality of technical deliverables, review project cost and schedule estimates to be competitive to global standards, lead and represent the team in the design reviews. Lead engineer should be an advocate of technology trends in the relevant field, should closely collaborate with wide engineering community such as Fellows, Product Chiefs, Project engineering and Certification experts to define and outline the engineering activities in the preliminary and detailed design phase of propulsion engines or auxiliary power units.
