Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centred on trust and optimised for culture, connection, clarity and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are looking for a Lead Account Director to join LinkedIn’s Enterprise Solutions Group, managing some of our most valuable Financial Services clients. This is a strategic role responsible for deepening executive relationships, driving revenue growth and shaping long-term partnerships that unlock the full value of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS).

You will partner closely in a POD model with a Client Solutions Manager (CSM) to deliver exceptional client experiences and outcomes—working together to align strategy, execution and measurement. You’ll collaborate with a broader cross-functional team—including Customer Science, Marketing, Product, Agency and Measurement—to deliver insights-led, full-funnel solutions that accelerate business impact for our clients.

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute, customer-obsessed sales leader with experience managing complex enterprise relationships and leading account growth strategies across multiple stakeholders and channels.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen strategic relationships with senior marketing and business decision-makers across Financial Services institutions and their media and content agency partners
  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies, aligning LinkedIn solutions to customer priorities and industry trends
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional account teams (CSMs, marketing, measurement, content, agency) to deliver against client objectives
  • Identify and close high-impact, transformational deals that drive new business and platform adoption across LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions
  • Leverage executive engagement and customer planning frameworks (Joint Business Plans, Virtual Roundtables) to drive trust and accountability
  • Craft and pitch compelling, insights-led narratives that demonstrate the business value of LinkedIn across the funnel
  • Translate marketing goals into digital strategies and campaign recommendations; guide auction-based performance and measurement planning
  • Forecast accurately, manage pipeline rigorously and report progress against growth targets
  • Advocate for the customer internally by sharing feedback and insights with Product, Marketing and Sales Leadership
  • Champion industry best practices and mentor others across the ESG team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level advertising, marketing, consulting or digital media sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success in managing complex, high-value accounts with multiple stakeholders in the Financial Services, Professional Services or Technology sectors
  • Expertise in strategic selling methodologies (Challenger, MEDDPICC)
  • Strong executive presence with experience leading c-suite engagement and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build long-term customer roadmaps and multi-threaded relationships across client organisations
  • Deep understanding of digital media strategy and platforms, especially in full-funnel B2B marketing
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable proposals
  • Proficiency in pipeline management, sales forecasting, and collaborative planning
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver integrated marketing, measurement and content solutions
  • BA degree or equivalent practical experience

Suggested Skills
