JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the receipt, labeling and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing. Responsible for pulling a collection pending report and investigating and resolving any issues. Performs other support duties such as, answering the phone, handling questions from medical and hospital staff, faxing of patient reports and keeping phlebotomy area stocked (assisting with maintenance of supply levels). Complies with organization’s C.A.R.E.S. standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of lab best practices. Proficiency with medical terminology. Experience with data entry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

Frequently (34%-66%) - NONE
Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching
