Job Description

DYS is seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1 at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, monitor, and evaluate BHS treatment and programs
  • Supervise behavioral healthcare providers; oversee treatment activities of staff; coordinate activities of other behavioral healthcare services personnel; provide training, supervision, evaluation, counseling, and case management; provide guidance and support through regular training and behavioral health staff meetings
  • Perform personnel management tasks including recruitment, interviewing, training, and recommendations for hire
  • Work with Clinical Services to design, implement, and monitor risk management activities specific to any/all treatment interventions; facilitate groups or co-facilitate
  • Work with Unit Management and Medical Staff to ensure and facilitate continuous delivery of services as well as joint record keeping; respond to inquiries from institutions, regions, courts, etc. on matters of youth concern including but not limited to youth transfer, abuse allegations, continuum of programming post release
  • Serve as a liaison and consultative support to all facilities and regional offices in conjunction with BHS operations; serve as DYS facility liaison to state, local, and community agencies whose primary focus is behavioral health services of youthful offenders
  • Serve on committees (e.g., program development, policy formulation); maintain and develop network of programs of other facilities, agencies, and support services in order to coordinate referrals and conduct follow-up services

Qualifications

  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Or Licensed Registered Nurse with certificate of authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing .

AND in addition to licensure must have 12 mos. exp. providing clinical supervision in behavioral healthcare services (e.g., counseling, group services, crisis intervention).

Or 12 mos. exp. as Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2, 65832.

Or 12 mos. exp. as Correctional Program Coordinator, 69323.
