Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Provider to work with our client. In this role, you will provide alcohol and drug counseling, along with related services, to assigned inmates. This position will be 7:30am – 3:30pm, 1 late night per week (12:15pm – 8:15pm) which will be set once started.

Job Duties

  • Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning.
  • Coordinate with medical, mental health, education, recreation, and community services for individualized treatment planning.
  • Monitor inmate attendance and progress in substance abuse programs.
  • Review case files for program admission, participation, and termination decisions.
  • Develop and implement continuing care plans.
  • Respond to crisis situations as needed.
  • Communicate with the Adult Parole Authority and chemical dependency specialists regarding inmate activities.
  • Conduct and coordinate substance abuse programming, including for dual-diagnosis inmates.
  • Supervise and support volunteers; facilitate support meetings and provide training.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and clinical audits.
  • Attend relevant seminars and conferences.
  • Maintain professional conduct in accordance with Ohio MHAS and ODRC standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current license as one of the following:
    • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II).
    • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III).
    • Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
  • Correctional Program Coordinator (Substance Use Disorder Counselor) Completion of continuing education requirements for license renewal
