We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Water Modeler to join our Corvallis, Oregon office. As a member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on water, wastewater, and water resources projects where you will play a crucial role in planning, design and real-world problem resolution. We’ll ask you to:

  • Assist and lead the design, planning and testing of numerical hydraulic models
  • Interpret model results and prepare written reports.
  • Contribute to project proposals and weekly progress reports
  • Support senior engineers in the preparation of presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Infrequent travel may be required.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
  • Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with a concentration in fluid dynamics.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to work with a diverse team

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Experience with Civil Engineering hydraulic projects
  • Experience using CFD modeling software (CFX, Fluent, OpenFOAM, Flow3D)
  • Experience with scripting and data processing including the use of Python
  • Experience using Linux OS and command line
  • Self-motivation
  • Strong data analysis & technical problem-solving competencies
  • PhD with emphasis in fluid mechanics
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Be willing to grow personally and professionally with each career opportunity

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

82,900.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

145,100.00

The base salary range for this position is $82,900.00 to $145,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
