Non-routine accounting transactions, including uncommon capital assets, restructurations, hedge accounting, complex financial instruments, complex note disclosure, and public sector financial reporting. Complex transactions involving consolidation, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, asset impairments, intangible assets, leases and future income taxes. Emerging trends in financial reporting.

Requirements:

Should have a MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in accounting, preferably in the area of financial reporting. Must have the CPA professional accounting designation. Must have completed a graduate CPA program within the last 8 years. Must demonstrate recent professional experience in financial reporting. Must have excellent knowledge of ASPE and IFRS. Must have teaching experience in graduate or advanced undergraduate accounting courses in the field of financial reporting. Must have experience of teaching with cases. Must be familiar with the current CPA Professional Education Program. Must be familiar with the Telfer Graduate CPA Diploma.
