Information about the position

At Vinted, software engineers work in cross-functional Product Engineering teams that include Product Managers, UX Designers, Data Sceinece Analysts, QA Specialists, and Backend and Frontend Engineers, all led by Engineering Managers. You’ll be joining such a team within Vinted Go, specifically focused on warehouse automation, working alongside Backend Engineers, another Android Engineer, a QA, Product Manager, UX Designer, Data Analyst, and Engineering Manager.

You'll be part of Vinted Go company, where we work on various projects spanning from physical locker networks, drivers, and warehouse operations technical solutions to carrier and fulfillment service integrations, as well as shipping orchestration.

We’re looking for an Android Engineer to join our team, where we build and scale warehouse automation solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects involving robotics and cloud-based warehouse management systems. You’ll help prepare our product for the challenges ahead and ensure they support Vinted’s mission of making second-hand the first choice.

The team owns an Android application used daily by our warehouse colleagues on PDA devices. This app supports all required warehouse tasks and connects with other automation tools to manage workflows. You would be responsible for the full lifetime of this application: developing new features, incorporating feedback from users and collaborating with the rest of the team to achieve our goals. The application is only one of the tools in our warehouse along with many other automation solutions, but is quite an essential one because it helps orchestrate the workflows between these automations.

In this position, you’ll

• Work in an Agile team to make shipping service better for our customers
• Work on big-scale projects and microservices. Develop and optimize scalable, robust flows of shipment orchestration and processing.
• Monitor and solve incidents. Communicate with operations employees who work in the warehouses and are using your product first hand.
• Collaborate with other Shipping domain engineers in Vilnius, Amsterdam and Berlin
• Write unit tests for all of the code you write.
• Work with Android, Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose and more
• Own releases in Firebase and Play store

About you

• You have proven experience in Android development, have worked on applications that use server backend, common authentication tools like Auth0, used technologies like coroutines. A nice bonuses would be having experience with Jetpack Compose, having experience working with hardware such as Zebra printers.
• You should be willing to learn and master new technologies & concepts
• You have desire and commitment to grow personally and professionally
• You feel comfortable communicating in spoken and written English
• You have excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with multiple teams across different domains and non-technical stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 6,725 gross per month.
