Just Eat is expanding its delivery services, offering customers not only food from their favourite restaurants but also everyday groceries from local supermarkets and convenience stores.

The Takeaway.com Payments B.V. is responsible for a smooth payment flow for all the customer’s deliveries and who can choose out of various payment methods for their orders. This role will be a supportive role for the day to day work of the Compliance Officers for the European markets.

You will work in the wide area of Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing and Sanctions. We’re looking for someone who feels comfortable in an international legal and compliance environment and drives the Just Eat Takeaway.com vision with us forward.

Join our dynamic team as Working Student focussing on Watchlist Screening pertaining to risks of politically exposed persons and sanctions violations, where your work will directly contribute to the integrity and security of our partnerships.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Support the Compliance Team with their daily work for our European markets.
  • Check new and existing restaurant partners against global watchlists, ensuring we maintain the highest standards.
  • Identify and flag sanctioned entities to assess potential risks associated with violations of sanctions;
  • Identify and flag Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) to assess potential risks associated with their positions and connections.
  • Analyze adverse media reports to identify any red flags that could impact our business relationships.
  • Prepare relevant Watchlist screening results for the further investigation process.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulation updates and our practical approach to it.
  • You will develop expertise in Compliance procedures, risk assessments and the use of specialized screening tools.

What will you bring to the table?

  • You are a Master student in the fields of Criminology, Law or Business Administration.
  • Available for 16 hours a week.
  • Fluent in English in verbal and written form is a must.
  • Knowledge or existing work experience within payments and/or KYC is a plus.
  • You are results-driven, with the ability to execute quickly and efficiently while getting into the details when necessary.
  • Self-starter attitude, comfortable with change and thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
