What You'll Do

The Data Lake Product Owner represents the stakeholders of the finance/actuarial data lake we are building as part of Integrated Finance Solutions. You will be the voice of data consumers across the Finance community and will be accountable for ensuring that the team delivers value to those consumers. Value will be realized through supplying quality data for modeling, automating data pipelines and providing analytics to the organization on a broad range of financial aspects. The broader the access to our data, the greater the value we provide. You will guide the teams by turning objectives into results and prioritizing development efforts based on Business Value. A love of data is key to success in this role!

Responsibilities

  • Create a vision for the data lake from a consumer’s point of view (models, ad-hoc, management reporting, financial)
  • Build influence and relationships to drive improved availability and usage of data
  • Advocate for data and analytics and work across the organization to build awareness and support
  • Own prioritization decisions in partnership with technology and business leaders
  • Build long-standing relationships with consumers of the lake to understand needs
  • Effectively work with technology teams (the tech teams need to understand the value alignment)
  • Partner with technology leaders to ensure the technology strategy can meet product needs
  • Consider consumer concepts and how those relate to data needs
  • Ensure that work is strong enough for production environment
  • Make decisions related to team commitments.
  • Lead organizational change management plan and communication related to the data lake

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in actuarial science or related field
  • 4+ years of related work experience
  • Experience working with data within the Finance community
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership on data strategy
  • FSA designation or expectation of designation within 1 year (preferred but not required)

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$100800 - $182400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
