The Crown Is Yours

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help build and scale the real-time event tracking infrastructure that powers communications, analytics, and data science models across DraftKings. These systems process millions of events per second, ensuring timely, accurate data delivery to consumers across the company. You’ll join a team focused on high performance, scalability, and operational excellence in a modern, cloud-native environment.

What you’ll do as a Software Engineer

  • Contribute to backend services written in C# in a microservices-based environment.
  • Help build and support real-time data pipelines and streaming infrastructure using industry-standard messaging tools.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using established design patterns and solid development practices.
  • Support internal consumers by ensuring event accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery across systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and improvements to observability and monitoring.

What you’ll bring

  • 1–2 years of professional experience or strong project work in C# or another object-oriented language.
  • Exposure to distributed systems, streaming data, or messaging tools (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments like AWS, or strong interest in learning them.
  • Curiosity about how real-time data powers applications, and a desire to work on systems that scale.
  • A collaborative approach, strong problem-solving skills, and eagerness to grow as an engineer.
