Academic Program Manager (HEA)

POSITION DETAILS

The Programs Director will be responsible to oversee a large portfolio that will include all non-research projects undertaken by CUNY DSI activities (including, but not limited to, the completion of the CUNY Cultural/Historical Legacy Initiative - CUNY CHLI, a program aimed at equipping K-12 students of Dominican/Latino/a/x cultural and historical legacy with a strong foundation about their heritage; the creation of a Dominican museum in Northern Manhattan, set to open in 2026; and the implementation of a new public art program, “The Colors of Heritage: Muralscapes for Washington Heights and Inwood”) and will provide support to research projects such as the “AI in the Archive: Economic and Social Data for the Early Modern History of the Americas,” a pioneering project combining historical research and data science.

The Academic Program Manager will oversee the implementation and execution of these programs, provide administrative and logistical support to the CUNY DSI teams working on each individual project, and ensure project tasks are completed on schedule as laid out in the grant proposals. Additionally, the Programs Director will coordinate all project activities with external partners and/or other stakeholders, including the coordination of smaller meetings, and larger events.
