The Communication, Memory, and Mind Lab (PI: Yoon) is seeking a highly motivated individual for a part-time, hourly research position to analyze an existing dataset on social communication. The role involves applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques (with a particular focus on semantic parsing and s-BERT), to examine language patterns and meaning representations in conversational data. The position does not involve any supervisory responsibilities. This is a three-month appointment that requires 5 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
The job duties for this position require minimal in-person interaction and can be performed remotely >60% of the time (i.e., more than 3 days per week).
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $29/hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
