Group O is seeking a highly organized, client-focused Program Manager to manage workload intake, client relationships, and cross-functional coordination within our Data Team. This role is critical for ensuring smooth workflow job creation, accurate requirements gathering, and effective prioritization of diverse data requests. The ideal candidate will serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) between clients and internal teams, fostering strong partnerships and enabling analysts to focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with a wide array of clients with varying technical expertise and data needs, acting as the primary liaison to understand client goals and managing expectations, especially when priorities shift, or deadlines change.
- Workload Intake & Coordination: Oversee the entire lifecycle of incoming requests—from initial form submission to final delivery—ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs.
- Requirements Documentation: Collaborate with clients to clarify and document detailed requirements for data solution development, ad hoc data requests, Power BI report creation, and data file transfers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Data Solution Development, Data Engineering, and Reporting teams to assign requests to the appropriate function based on scope and complexity.
- Workflow Management: Serve as the single point of contact for all team requests, maintaining a comprehensive view of ongoing work and resource allocation to optimize delivery timelines.
- Shield Analysts from Client Distractions: Act as a buffer to protect analysts from direct client interruptions, enabling focused work on deliverables.
- Team Support & Flexibility: Demonstrate the willingness to take on additional tasks or assist with team management duties to enhance overall productivity and support team success.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance communication, and improve client satisfaction
Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in data-driven or technical environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and internal teams effectively at all organizational levels.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in reviewing and managing workload intake forms and documentation.
- Proficiency in workflow/job management tools, Power BI, Excel, and familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and make informed decisions about resource allocation.
- Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills across teams and clients.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities and problem-solving.
- SQL skill sets would be a plus, with the ability to analyze data sets at a high level to help set complexity expectations.
