We are welcoming a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Center business based at our Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) office. This role will provide technical support particularly in mechanical engineering with emphasis on HVAC for the Data Centers across Malaysia and across the Asia region.

Main duties include:

  • Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans / specifications are maintained across the project and coordination with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project.
  • Write technical reports and specifications including functional descriptions for Mechanical systems.
  • To engage with engineers, drafting, and design staff to fulfill deliverables.
  • To lead and attend project/site meeting with Client, PM, and Consultants from other disciplines.
  • Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines.
  • To build cultivate and build relationships with client generally as a Doer/Seller role.
  • Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.
  • Support proposals and bids.

Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer registration would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience to perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications, etc), particularly in Data Center projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant Local Building Codes and international standards to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent in both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with BIM and 3D models would be an added advantage.
