Job Description: Data Scientist

The Data Scientist is a key member of the APAC Digital & Analytics team. This role involves analyzing algorithmic requirements for sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing, along with project management, data tool development, data governance, and exploration of machine learning or AI applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to design and implement end-to-end data solutions, including requirements analysis, data processing, modeling, visualization, and predictive analytics frameworks.
• Develop statistical, machine learning, and deep learning models based on a thorough understanding of business needs.
• Lead the implementation of computer vision, natural language processing, and large language model technologies within the tire industry.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while delivering practical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic background with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or other STEM fields.
• 3+ years of experience in data-related roles.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing.
• Experience in building business analysis reports using Tableau or Power BI.
• Proven experience in at least one complete project (from problem investigation to product optimization).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey analytical conclusions accurately to non-technical colleagues, aiding their understanding.
