Analyst I, Finance / Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing P&L reporting, data mining, variance, and industry analysis to provide business support. As well as the day-to-day financial operations for the assigned business units and is the first point of contact for inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Variance analysis and deep dive analysis on root cause
- Interpret results and their impact to the business
- Support role out of Operating Plan to field
- Responsible for collection, analysis, and forecasting of statistical and financial information
- Provide financial reporting support to the Operations & Sales groups
- Responsible for the compilation of financial management reporting to the field on a detailed or a summary level
- Present results to both Finance and non-finance employees
- Responsible for financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Prepare journal entries to close month-end
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Support & develop reporting automation and enhancement in Power BI
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Accounting or Finance Designation preferred
- Post graduate education preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant business experience, ideally in complex organizations
- Preference would be given to candidates with experience in Oracle, Oracle analytics system (OAS), Qlik, SQL and Power BI.
- Strong technical skills grounded in planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
SKILLS:
- Advanced Excel: advanced modeling using metrics and business/industry insight, linkages in several files during major projects (eg. pivot tables, sumifs, Xlookups)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management & organizational skills
- Team player, communicative and self-starter
- Ability to handle confidential information
