Summary:
The Part-Time Research Assistant will report directly to School of International Service Professor Nina Yamanis, the Principal Investigator (PI), to support a pending grant award regarding two HIV prevention interventions. The research assistant will prepare a detailed application for ethical approval from American University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). The application materials will include, but are not limited to: research protocol, consent forms, recruitment scripts, and interview guides. The research assistant will meet weekly with Professor Yamanis to review progress towards deliverables.
Essential Functions:
1.) Draft research protocol for one or more studies
2.) Draft consent forms, recruitment materials and interview guides
3.) Organize materials to support project
4.) Meet with PI weekly to review progress towards deliverables
