Scope of Job

Student will be assisting with accounting-related tasks in the Office of Research, such as reconciliations, drafting financial statements and reports, providing support to Research Faculty and Staff, among other duties and special projects as assigned.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

  • Accounting background (basic accounting classes).
  • Be registered full-time for the respective semester—nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session—or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.
  • Able to work well with a diverse group of people, including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff/faculty.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Full-time Graduate Student, working on a Master’s in Accounting or Business Administration.
