As a Project/Program Manager IV, you will play a pivotal role in the AWS Infrastructure Services team, which is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. You will be a part of a diverse team working to ensure the seamless functioning of AWS data centers, focusing on servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. Your expertise will contribute to high-impact programs that require both strategic insight and hands-on problem-solving, shaping the future of cloud computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage scalable data center qualification programs that integrate diverse teams and equipment globally.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing of power and cooling systems while maintaining collaboration between stockholder teams, including material suppliers and the Commissioning team.
  • Execute complete equipment qualification processes for AWS Data Center infrastructure, ensuring thorough review of submittals, execution of structured test protocols, evaluation of prototype documentation, and coordination with stakeholders to maintain quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Implement systematic tracking of equipment qualification metrics, ensuring data accuracy and timely status updates.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between architectural, electrical, control, and mechanical disciplines, equipment vendors, tier-2 suppliers, commissioning team, and other stakeholder teams to optimize qualification timelines.
  • Execute documentation strategies for equipment qualification, including verification of vendor quality audits and test reports, monitor submittal review, reporting of detailed status, and product qualification tracking mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with data analytics teams to develop and maintain reporting dashboards, metrics tracking, and predictive modeling tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify optimization opportunities, and implement scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Travel for internal design meetings and factory witness testing, with international travel as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 5 years of design experience in commercial, industrial, or other complex technical projects.
  • 2 years of mission-critical facility design or technical program management experience.
  • 2 years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Program management and construction engineering experience.
  • Smart sheets experience.
  • 8+ years of overall experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional engineering license.
  • Project management professional certification (PMP) in addition to PE.
  • Graduate degree in a related field.
  • Project management certification.
  • Experience with large construction projects similar in scope to data centers.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced yet collaborative, characterized by daily interactions with team members, including daily stand-up calls and weekly sync meetings. You will be responsible for multiple programmatic design changes, ensuring cross-functional stakeholder alignment, evaluating technical readiness, and communicating with leadership. The role emphasizes innovation within infrastructure projects to keep AWS at the forefront of cloud computing. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
