Job Summary
CADY is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing Finance team. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and manage key financial processes such as month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls. This role will report directly to the CFO and play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and reporting. The Accounting Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits, implement process improvements, and ensure accurate financial data for decision-making. We’re building a high-performing Finance team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your work will be vital to the financial health and operational success of CADY as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead Month-End and Year-End Close: Ensure timely and accurate close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Produce internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Collaborate with Finance and departmental leaders to support budget planning, variance analysis, and financial projections.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, and support tax filings.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Audit Coordination: Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and respond to auditor requests.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and implement best practices in accounting workflows.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth.
- System Management: Support financial systems implementation, upgrades, and optimization in coordination with IT and finance leadership.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- CPA or CMA certification (preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, prior supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
- Prior experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment (preferred)
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Extended periods of viewing computer screens
- Moderate noise and other potential sensory stimulants (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, music, and light foot traffic)
- Able to bend or stoop as needed
