PRIMARY PURPOSE: Collaborate with the Supervisor to support department managers in overseeing in-process quality, ensuring operations meet quality, productivity, and output objectives while driving improvements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold in-process manufacturing quality standards and ensure proper application of standards and instructions.
  • Develop inspection plans and conduct in-process inspections and audits to promptly address and resolve quality issues.
  • Train and coach subordinates on product specifications, standards, machine setup, and operations, including performance assessment.
  • Monitor in-process quality performance, analyze quality data to identify trends and root causes of defects, implement corrective and preventive actions, and prepare limit samples for approval.
  • Clearly understand personal and departmental goals to contribute to achieving quality and delivery objectives. Lead or participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with rules, procedures, and requirements related to: a. 7S & KAIZEN b. Environmental Health and Safety c. RBA & Social Responsibility d. Protection of company assets
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED: College

PREFERRED: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED: At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing companies

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

1. Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

2. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques focused on root cause analysis and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

3. Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and tools.

4. Ability to understand and utilize engineering drawings.

5. Proficiency in using measurement and testing equipment.

6. Skills in on-the-job training, coaching, basic management, and Kaizen.

7. Familiarity with ISO,

8. Experience with IATF16949, RoSH, and SAP is a plus

9. Quality engineering certification (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
