Job Description

This role will be based in São Paulo.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

The role involves curating the news and conversations that help members navigate their careers and build an active professional community; discovering and summarizing a mix of breaking news and trends while searching for the right creator voices for each story; putting a strong emphasis on topics that professionals need to know about now and that spark great conversations; helping our team with special projects.

The mission of a LinkedIn editor is to help professionals get the news they need to be better at what they do and get them sharing on the topics that matter in business today. Our dynamic editorial team curates, creates, and cultivates content that drives the business conversations.

You will work within a global team of media pros — their previous lives include Abril, Folha de S. Paulo, Fortune, La Nación, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, Le Figaro, and more — who will help you grow, take initiative, and create opportunities.

You should be as comfortable in a newsroom as in a startup. The ideal candidate is as interested in shaping a product as shaping a story, who lives and breathes professional news, and has a passion for following and spotting the kind of topics that are igniting professional conversations.

  • Be available for at least 1 year of internship, 30 hours/week from Monday to Friday.
  • Support local editors in the creation of LInkedIn Lists, Daily Rundown, EWU, Storylines and other special projects.
  • Build content for notifications, helping to create targeting lists and copy suggestions.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams in the US and Europe.
  • Produce video content when needed: prepare and organize studio recordings, coordinate logistics, upload footage, and edit video bites.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Communication or Journalism in course
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English and Portuguese

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enjoys collaborating with diverse, global, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in online media.
  • Familiarity with the Brazilian business environment.
  • Active and influential on social media platforms
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not mandatory.
