Summary

We are currently seeking “best in class” Credit Assistant with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition. You will communicate with sales locations regarding issues with cash application. You’ll be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, you will nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • 5+ years in an office setting. 2+ years book keeping experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal etiquette with customers and written communication with staff and customers.
  • Assist credit manager with deposit, collections, applying credits to accounts, researching accounts for payments to be applied and mailing out invoices.
  • Daily cash handling using point of sale for payments and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft outlook and office software including the ability to maintain Excel spreadsheets.
  • Document any and all interactions with customers in our system and provided proper invoices to a customer after taking a payment.
  • Can work independently with a sense of urgency and always willing to learn.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

  • 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting positions.
  • Excellent computer knowledge, skills and practical experience with variety of software – Microsoft Word and Excel as well as JDE.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
  • Ability to work well as part of a team environment, with a comfort level working independently as required
  • Desire and commitment to working in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
