Administer, maintain, and provide ongoing support, including on-call support for the UF Health network system environment and the following enterprise applications: Exchange, Microsoft Identity Manager, Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops, Citrix Netscaler ADC, and Epic Client Systems software. Responsibilities for all supported applications include: architecture design, installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching; storage forecasting, planning and allocation; performance monitoring and optimization, ensuring users have uninterrupted service; implementation and maintenance of network security measures; development and testing of backup and recovery procedures; problem identification and resolution; and documentation. Research, analyze and recommend standards, procedures, and new technologies to improve Microsoft server availability, performance, and recovery. Develop and present written proposals for changes to existing standards, processes, and technologies. Assess project proposals for compliance with server standards, risk, implementation, and ongoing support requirements, and ability to meet proposed timelines. Collaborate with project owners to make necessary changes and document outstanding risks. Organize and lead cross-departmental project teams. This is a lead position in the Technical Enterprise Applications team and will participate with management and provide feedback on the performance of individual members of the Technical Enterprise Applications team. This position may be required to access confidential data to perform job responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or another applicable area of study plus five (5) years of experience supporting relevant enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Citrix products (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Netscaler ADC), or Epic EMR ancillaries.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • An Epic Client Systems Manager certification is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with the following products is desired: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Identity Manager, Microsoft Data Protection Manager, Epic Client Systems software, VMware, monitoring and administration tools.
  • Familiarity with the following products is considered a plus: patch management tools, antivirus software, and SPAM prevention tools.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to research, analyze, and recommend new standards, processes, or technologies to improve server availability, performance, or recoverability.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to define the scope, level of effort, and implementation timeline for assigned projects.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
