Description of Position
Performs a variety of duties, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment, assembling surgical instrument sets, and distributing patient-care supplies and equipment. Assists with the orientation of new employees, functions as a resource person regarding supplies and equipment, and performs charge duties when assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Completion of a Central Service Technician course with certification desired, or must successfully complete course within 1-1/2 years of hire. Central Service and/or Operating Room experience desired; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and supplies required.
Starting Hourly Rate $24.44
